Sermons on Ecclesiastes

This book, more than any other (with the exception of Song of Songs), gives Evangelicals fits. Those of us who believe the Bible is inerrant and infallible are divided on what to do with Ecclesiastes. Presuppositions about authorship, whether to take it at face value, and the interpretation of a Hebrew word make for drastic changes in interpretation. This series sets out to show that Solomon wrote the book, that the book is real wisdom and not just Old Testament cynicism, and that life is not meaningless but something that cannot be controlled per James 4:14b  “What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.”
