Sermons on Philemon

Philemon gets much less attention than any other letter by Paul. We struggle to find the relevance of a letter written to an individual to ask him to free a slave. It actually has much to say to us about how the Gospel transforms individuals, churches, and entire cultures. Slavery is still alive and well around the globe. Philemon shows us a Gospel-centered approach to bringing justice to our world, whether the issue is slavery or any number of other problems.
